Friends Help You Cope

Unto yourself be true
for that is what you must do
to let others want you as a friend
and loneliness can come to an end.
Because you cared, and dared to share,
people are made glad you are there.

One must make the first move
before others see there is a groove
that is well worth sharing
and the cost is naught but caring
for as it lessens the need to sorrow
it lets you look forward to tomorrow.

Is it better not to be alone
and see the seeds of friendships sown
show all how a helping hand
makes it easier for the lonely to stand.
As friends help you cope
do you not have a reason to hope?
