Somethings Never Change

The virus destroyed the grid. The sky looked empty not being littered with satellites. Nobody knew what to do. Nobody had spoken to a person in years, relied on thumb conversation. The new mafia seized on this. Set up messenger services for a modest fee. No questions asked. You paid your money, and your message got delivered by pigeon. It was especially popular with the youth, who thought anything that didn’t need thumb technology to be cool and retro. The new mafia cleaned up in the debris days, as they are now known, but somethings never change. I still get junk mail most days. When is Just Eat gonna realise I’m just gonna cook tea?
